Dear friends
Just to caution you, this video is divided into 2 parts, if I put all the footage into one episode, the duration will reach 40 minutes, that will be ridiculous it’s almost like watching a bloody movie. Why is the video so long you might ask, well this 2-part video is merely a documentation of my 5-day trip exploring the northwest of Malaysia. It’s not everything on food, instead it borders more on tourism. Of course, this is not my usual style but I hope you give me a chance to explore new options. Meanwhile please give comments if you comfortable with this format. If you’ve supported this far, please continue. Thanks, and see you in the sequel.

Best of Danok Thailand
Переглядів 13 тис.День тому
Dear friends As I mentioned in the intro of my Butterworth episode that I’ll be heading to Danok. Basically, Danok is a great place to be if you know what to look for, however food is definitely not one of them. Maybe I should return and do a sequel on halal food since I skipped the halal category altogether. Anyway, hope you will find this episode compelling cos I spent the equal amount of eff...
Best of Butterworth 最正街頭美食
Переглядів 15 тис.14 днів тому
Dear friends Danny and I ventured north west to Butterworth to look for street food. Our trip actually extended further than Malaysia to Thailand, however this trip is all about this town known as the other side of Penang. The food featured here is more or less the same with Georgetown although it’s a little more authentic. Apparently, there are food items here not even available in Georgetown....

Dear friends, It’s been a while since I collaborated with any entities for my video, the last one was 2 years ago for a housing project called Megah Rise. This episode is a 2nd collaboration with Paramount Property The Ashwood @ U-Thant Kuala Lumpur, a freehold prestigious project. Since the location of this development has good food to offer, my responsibility is to point out the good eateries...
Best Dumplings of KL最正粽子
Переглядів 40 тис.Місяць тому
Dear friends For this episode I’m just featuring one restaurant, this is no ordinary restaurant cos they served dumplings 365 days in a year. Apparently some 3 years ago when I was featuring HK Porky Noodle House, the owner Marcus was kind enough to treat me 2 dumplings as I was leaving. I actually thought they make their own dumplings, instead he told me that he’s just retailing them for his A...

Dear friends If you’re expecting the usual touristy recommendations from this video, you’ll be disappointed. What we have here is not the popular selfie spots or the seafood restaurants frequented by the masses, instead this video is on the down-to-earth eateries. I called it hidden gems; hope you’ll find this video as compelling as the person who made it. Thanks, and see you in the next video....
知知港最正美食 Best of Titi
Переглядів 18 тис.Місяць тому
Dear friends Of all the places I went and to do the video features, this destination was the most enjoyable for me. I liked this quaint little town, the authentic tasting Hakka fare and most of all the I liked the affectionate villagers. I’m making any excuse to return to Titi, therefore on July I’d return to for their durian harvest. You must come to sleepy little town and go back in time to e...
九寨溝 Wonders of Jiuzhaigou
Переглядів 12 тис.Місяць тому
Dear friends This is not a video to showcase the best food or to highlight the nicest spots of Jiuzhaigou, instead it’s a documentation of our company trip. Generally, the trip was nice, especially the food supplied was generous. However, I must say the flight in and out of Chengdu by Batik Air was in the odd hours. Also, the new Tianfu airport in Chengdu was enormous, we needed to walk for alm...
最正美食 Balakong Best Foodie Haunts

Dear friends After featuring Batu Sebelas Cheras and Taman Mahkota surely, I can’t leave out its neighbor Balakong. Unlike the earlier 2 episodes whereby I go around the township to do the feature, this video I only go and feature one particular food court of theirs. That’s cos this food court is newly open and it represents most of the top street food. Please help me share this video since my ...

Dear friends I’ve made a slight change to this episode, for one there’s no commentary on the food review part. This is a welcome change for those viewers who have been complaining that I’ve been talking too much on my videos, almost wall to wall. However, I’m only testing the waters to see how you’d react to it, basically nothing is written in stones. BTW, I’ve gone a little overboard on taking...

Dear friends Basically, I’d visit Ipoh for a least 3 times a year, they are: 1) My 2nd day Chinese New Year in-law’s visit. 2) My Cheng Beng outing to clean the tombs. 3) My trip to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. Of course, I also travel to Ipoh on random occasions like meetings, etc. I like Ipoh, each time I’m in Ipoh I would make hay with sunshine, which means I would take the excuse ...

Dear Friends After featuring Ulu Yam, Batang Kali and Kuala Kubu Baru, surely, I can’t leave out Serendah. FYI, Serendah has been an eye opener for me, not on food alone but the scenery is something else. If you do come here, do make it a point to check out Periji Tujuh Serendah. This Malaysian heritage is one of a kind. This weekend I’ll head to Ipoh for Cheng Beng, rest assured I’ll feature s...

Dear friends As promised, this is the sequel for Phatthalung. Even though it’s not as compelling as the former video but it has its own merits. To my surprise this video almost reached 20 minutes, I thought there was nothing going for it, but it naturally extended. Please tune in and watch it with an open mind, perhaps you might find it more interesting. Thanks for supporting me through thick a...

不可錯過的景點 Phatthalung. A must visit Dear friends I’m sure you’ve heard of the Thailand’s tourism tagline ‘Amazing Thailand’ whilst it’s a great tagline but I thought ‘Surprising Thailand’ should be more fitting. That’s cos I happened to return from Pahatthulung and I must say it blew me away. I’m not bragging but I’ve been to quite of lot of places in Thailand but none has impressed me so much as...

Dear friends For the record all the clips of this episode were shot 2 months ago, most of the footages were captured for Emsphere Mall’s new food court. Since Emsphere Mall has been opened for 3 months, making this episode as ‘Bangkok’s latest mall’ wouldn’t be relevant anymore, therefore I decided to skew the video towards a specific food item hoping to draw attention from you. However, the co...

My curiousity is aroused. Would like to perhaps follow your route as well as visit the places your group visited, so I much appreciate if you give the proper names of the towns and places (Malay or Malaysian) , or GPS directions? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the enquiry but since tis episode isn't the my usual foodie haunts I didn't get my pal to include the google links, etc
GREAT job brother ELMO, a little different from the ordinary way of presentation, REALLY LIKES it this episode SALUTE with LOVE
Cheers my friend
❤❤❤❤
Company is indeed important! I have friends I will NEVER travel with 😅😂😂😂 Family, no choice lol
Totally agree mate
This trip has captured the moments/essence of what it is like to travel locally ( in a van ) and the landscape as the van trots along the path towards the Northern part. I Liked the frankness of Elmo in describing the environment and each of the tourist spots featured reflects exactly as how it used to nowadays when one is there. The food is also not pretentious and well illustrated in each of the eateries visited at their unique location. As always - Elmo has nicely edited the video and makes it easy for us to enjoy. Yatt Lau , Mou Tak Deng 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Awaiting for the next episode as your team travels further up north to enjoy scene (and food) there. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Thanks for looking forward to the sequel, it gives me tremendous motivation choong
Well, there is nothing wrong with homestays just because there are AirBNBs we can choose from after all.

Don't you think the wan tan mee is a bit pricy? Targeting tourist
Yes a bit pricey for a small town
CUTI CUTI MALAYSIA ❤
I dislike those food reviewers who praised all the food stalls in their videos. Everything also good...so delicious ....so divine. HAHAHA.... good that you are not like them.
Thanks I mean what I say
Your camera too close to your face.
Isn't it better u get to see me clearer

I enjoyed the video, didn't find it long. Excellent work on editing with all the footage shot. Nice work, Elmo. Thumbs up!

Thank you for sharing the wonderful and delicious food in Danok. Seems Danok has progress so much from a small village town long time ago . Enjoy your trip , have good food and drive safe .

Hello Uncle Elmo, Is that a way can contact you ? I am wish to have a collaboration with you.
Cheers Ong u can contact me at munonn45@yahoo.com😎
Danok is man world not suitable for tourists or family
this time no google maps link, have to search manually myself. keep up the good work elmo
Thanks for popping by gerryko
Thank you for showing us Danok and a little bit of Ha'adyai in this episode. Too bad that Elmo (and Danny) need to re-enter the Kingdom of Thailand a second time due to a wrong lane/route taken at the immigration depot. I would say that the food served at Danok is neither "fully Thai" nor "fully Malay/Chinese" style of cooking. Hence- it resembles a hybrid type of cooking that tries to satisfy tourist going there from neighboring country. For me - the most authentic is the Singha Beer and that was a good ending served with a nice plate of Tok Man Phra !!! Yatt Lau .... Mou Tak Deng 👌👌👌 . Thank you again to Elmo and also Danny for bringing Danok close to us.
Thanks choong you r so diplomatic, really made our day
all the good and OG food stalls have moved out of Danok in the past 4 years, there are much better food in Hatyai around every corner
Thanks that's good info
Uncle Elmo , thank you for your beautiful video . I must raise the issue with Agoda . I do not use this crowd called Agoda at all . They are very bad in stitching people up . Never ever choose Agoda . Have a great day uncle . Love from London
Thanks for the advice Ravi, I'll try to avoid agoda
Most welcome
That dish from the Thai lady who can't speak Chinese looks like Thai kuey chap. Speaking of cockles in CKT, even in Penang, quite hard to find ones that put cockles anymore 😢 Wantan mee with lard oil is the best! My dad always complain that wantan mee nowadays are not like last time, too much dark soy sauce & no lard oil 😅
So many dishes have no 👌😂
So you did noticed
nice , thank you for making this with subtitle
You r most welcome mate
if no ok gesture mean soso only?
Oh you noticed
It seems like you are reminiscing about the livelier and more vibrant days of Danok. I hope your visit there helps you reconnect with those fond memories and bring back some of the excitement (s) of the good ole days. Revisiting places that holds nostalgic value can be a powerful way to rekindle old feelings and create new memories. Enjoy your trip down memory lane and may it bring you joy and happiness, capturing the essence of the days gone by in Danok or soi cowboy. 😅
Thanks bro I do missed the good old days
Thanks for keeping us updated too 😅
Good work. God bless. 👏👍🙏
Cheers tan
Think u wrong about difficult getting CKT there, pad see ew is very common & much tastier-using the much broader Thai kwayteow. U can google that.
😅😅😅
